About the Role
The Compliance Manager will support the implementation and ongoing operation of the compliance framework in Australia and New Zealand, working closely with the Head of Compliance, compliance analysts, and business stakeholders to promote an effective Three Lines of Defence model and a strong compliance culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the handling of compliance incidents and breaches, ensuring timely identification, investigation, resolution, and reporting.
- Ensure all incidents are accurately recorded and support data collation for internal and external reporting.
- Coordinate breach reporting to regulators, including preparation of notifications and follow-up of remedial actions.
- Liaise with business units to support rectification and remediation of compliance incidents and provide insights to prevent recurrence.
- Promote awareness of compliance incident reporting obligations and best practices.
- Support compliance reporting requirements, including preparation of regular reports for management committees and the Board.
- Provide compliance advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on day-to-day matters and business initiatives.
- Assist with compliance risk assessments, control reviews, and the identification of gaps or emerging issues.
- Assist with assurance reviews, including coordination of testing, review of findings, and tracking of remediation actions.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of systems and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, codes, and company policies.
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training and communication programs.
- Identify areas for improvement of processes and controls to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency.
- Work collaboratively with compliance, risk, and audit teams to enhance customer outcomes and business conduct.
- Assist with the sanctions program, including staying updated on relevant sanctions requirements.
- Assist the First Line to assess the impact of regulatory changes and implement required changes to procedures, controls, and training.
