About the Role
The District Manager is responsible for full district-level performance, including revenue growth, profitability, operational execution, client satisfaction, and leadership development across all offices. This role leads through Area Managers and Office Managers, ensuring consistent execution of the SEV experience, strong business performance, and a high-performing culture. The District Manager partners closely with the Aesthetic Field Manager (AFM) as a peer leader, together accountable for district outcomes. This is a highly field-based leadership role requiring consistent in-person presence, hands-on coaching, and active performance management.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive district performance to meet or exceed GAAP and Cash revenue targets.
- Ensure consistent achievement of key KPIs, including room utilization (>90%), package and membership conversion, trial conversion, rebooking rates, client satisfaction (OSAT and 5-star reviews), and labor as a % of revenue.
- Identify performance gaps and implement structured action plans at the office and area level.
- Drive accountability across all levels to deliver consistent results.
- Lead, coach, and develop Area Managers as primary operators of their markets.
- Ensure Area Managers effectively lead Office Supervisors and in-office teams.
- Conduct structured weekly check-ins and formal performance reviews.
- Build leadership capability through coaching, feedback, and accountability to metrics.
- Support succession planning and bench development across the district.
- Partner with AFM as a co-owner of district performance.
- Align on priorities, performance gaps, and action plans across all offices.
- Ensure consistency between clinical execution (AFM) and operational execution (DM).
- Support AFM in driving provider performance, treatment quality, and service standards.
- Jointly inspect performance through field visits, audits, and coaching sessions.
- Ensure consistency between clinical execution (AFM) and operational execution (DM), with clear ownership of in-room clinical standards by the AFM and operational workflows, systems, and business processes by the DM.
- Partner to address gaps at the intersection of clinical and operational execution, ensuring a seamless client and provider experience.
- Ensure consistent execution of SEV operational standards, scheduling practices, and workflows across all offices.
- Drive disciplined execution of room utilization (>90%), scheduling efficiency, and client flow.
- Conduct regular in-person site visits to inspect performance, operations, and team execution.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in Zenoti across all offices, including scheduling, inventory, and transaction integrity.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with inventory management and controls.
- Ensure compliance with machine maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety standards.
- Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, process breakdowns, and system misuse.
- Serve as escalation point for complex operational or client issues.
- Own district-level profitability, including labor as a % of revenue.
- Ensure alignment of staffing models to demand, optimizing services per labor hour and appointments per receptionist hour.
- Ensure effective execution of on-call programs and coverage models.
- Monitor scheduling efficiency, overtime, and payroll controls.
- Partner with HR on performance management and workforce planning.
- Analyze performance trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Support successful execution of new office openings, including leadership placement, operational readiness, and performance ramp strategy.
- Partner with Marketing and leadership on promotions and revenue-driving initiatives.
- Own execution of promotions and revenue-driving initiatives at the operational level.
- Ensure consistent delivery of the SEV experience as designed across all offices.
- Drive improvement in OSAT (“highly satisfied”) and 5-star review performance.
- Ensure alignment between provider and reception experience.
- Serve as escalation point for complex client recovery situations.
- Ensure each office maintains sufficient trained coverage to meet client demand.
- Partner with Area Managers and Office Managers on hiring, onboarding, and retention.
- Drive team member retention through a positive, performance-driven culture and development.
- Build a strong leadership pipeline across the district.
- Participate in and support all activities reasonably necessary to operate the business, ensure compliance, and deliver results.
- Participate in organization-wide initiatives, including committees or working groups, to provide field perspective and input on new programs, launches, and events.
Requirements
- 5+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in a service-based environment
- Proven success managing district-level P&L and performance metrics
- Experience leading leaders (Area Managers or equivalent)
- Experience in high-growth, multi-site environments preferred
- Experience in highly labor and schedule sensitive environments preferred
- Strong financial acumen and KPI-driven decision-making
- Ability to lead through others and drive accountability at scale
- Strong coaching and leadership development capability
- Excellent communication and executive presence
- Ability to operate independently in a field-based environment
- Availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays is required based on business needs
