About the Role

We are seeking a passionate individual to develop expertise and industry relationships, with a focus on creative problem-solving, client service, and project management within the Power Systems Engineering Consulting field.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to creative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients.
  • Provide detailed fact findings, research, and analysis on energy-related activities, particularly climate resilience and adaptation, grid modernization, and sustainability.
  • Understand public and private sources of downscaled climate data and the ability to download and isolate it to client assets using methods such as nearest neighbor analysis.
  • Perform statistical and economic analyses in Excel, R, Python.
  • Prepare workshop and meeting materials, attend sessions, and summarize outcomes.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for client deliverables.
  • Present results of assigned tasks and analyses that resonate with clients.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and client staff as part of a project team, and independently as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to client engagements.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Five or more years of relevant utilities industry or consulting experience, excluding internships, co-ops, graduate research, or fellowships.
  • Relevant work experience should be related to climate resilience and adaptation, grid modernization, and sustainability or similarly related fields.
  • Demonstrated team player with the ability to lead project technical workstreams, including managing junior-level analysts.
  • Client service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with data analytics.
  • Strong interest in business strategy, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • An inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement.
  • Tireless attention to detail in all prior experience (academic and professional).
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and plan work activities while meeting deadlines.
  • Highly developed organizational and management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work in Guidehouse Office or Client Office.
