About the Role

Lead a sales team to achieve maximum sales, profitability, and growth by developing a clear vision, improving processes, and fostering strong vendor and customer relationships. This role involves mentoring and developing the sales team to create a high-performance culture and a pipeline of successors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for the assigned business/sales team.
  • Provide leadership to achieve maximum sales, profitability, and growth.
  • Utilize sales data, SLAs, and metrics to implement systems and processes for sales improvement.
  • Manage opportunities to address shortcomings in sales numbers.
  • Measure team performance against goals and ensure business unit expectations are met.
  • Build partnerships with vendors and customers based on trust and respect.
  • Leverage relationships to enhance brand, sales, and profitability.
  • Consider vendors, customers, and Arrow in all decision-making.
  • Recruit, hire, and mentor top sales management talent.
  • Set a professional tone for the sales team.
  • Create a unified vision between vendors, customer service, and sales capacity.
  • Strategically manage vendor and customer relationships.
  • Guide managers on recruiting, hiring, performance reviews, development plans, and promotions to ensure high-potential talent.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 12 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Significant sales leadership experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the unique requirements, customer landscape, and market dynamics of the defense sector.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing sales organizations and driving revenue, profitability, and market growth within complex B2B environments.
  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies across large, complex customer and vendor relationships.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into measurable sales results.
  • Strong understanding of the Aerospace & Defense ecosystem, including OEMs, defense contractors, government customers, and/or suppliers supporting defense programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate highly regulated and compliance-driven environments.
  • Understanding of requirements related to ITAR, export controls, and other applicable government regulations.
  • Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to establish credibility and influence with customers, vendors, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Experience using sales analytics, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify opportunities, improve sales execution, and drive accountability.
  • Must be eligible for an export license or be a U.S. Person.
