About the Role

Dow Jones is seeking a Sr Manager of Audience Marketing to drive audience growth and consideration across its media properties, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and MarketWatch. This role involves close collaboration with newsroom and marketing stakeholders, and managing one direct report. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent stakeholder and people management skills, a passion for business journalism, and a performance marketing mindset.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute audience marketing strategy in collaboration with paid media partners and stakeholders to drive consideration and optimize for immediate impact and long-term efficiencies.
Own all lead generation marketing efforts, including free registrations and newsletter sign-ups, and build/test pre- and post-lead capture marketing journeys.
Collaborate with the wider Audience Development team to ensure alignment between organic growth and paid marketing strategies.
Develop and manage the roadmap for testing lead generation tactics, content themes, messaging frameworks, and content-to-subscription pathways.
Oversee newsletter monetization within consumer subscriptions, driving paid marketing campaigns and supporting growth initiatives with newsroom and marketing stakeholders.
Own the creation and distribution of performance reporting to track consideration impact within the user purchase funnel, working with data teams.
Provide empathetic people management and development for direct reports.

Requirements

8-10 years of experience in lead generation, subscription marketing, audience development, or performance marketing.
Empathetic people management skills with solid experience growing direct reports.
Proficiency in working with data and deriving insights to optimize campaigns.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
Comfortability working cross-functionally and communicating across disciplines.
A team player mentality and entrepreneurial mindset with drive to win.
Strategic thinking skills with proven ability to ideate and implement marketing strategies.
Experience in newsrooms is a plus.
