About the Role
Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Compliance Team to support a variety of environmental compliance projects. This position requires travel for fieldwork and site visits, with potential for international travel. The role involves planning and executing technical projects, conducting regulatory research, writing reports, supporting permitting, conducting site visits, and collaborating with a team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute technical projects

- Prioritize clients' needs and deadlines
- Perform fieldwork and site visits (average one week per month, 3-14 days duration)
- Conduct environmental auditing and inspections
- Prepare and write environmental plans, permits, and reports
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Provide environmental project support to clients
Requirements
- Working knowledge of federal environmental programs
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage time efficiently

- Flexibility to serve in multiple roles and teams
- Must be able to pass DoW security clearances and background checks
- Must obtain a passport
- US citizenship required
- Experience with multiple federal and state environmental regulatory areas

- Experience in providing environmental project support to clients
- Work experience with federal government agencies, DoW, and state environmental agencies
- Successful candidates should be prepared to submit a writing sample
