About the Role
Spencer Stuart is seeking an Associate for the Financial Services Practice to assist with senior executive searches, focusing on Global Banking & Markets or Consumer Financial Services. This role involves project management, research, assessment, sourcing, validation, and relationship-building to identify and develop diverse candidate slates.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the start-up phase of searches by participating in client kick-off meetings and assisting in developing search strategies and target lists.
- Gather industry and company information, identify potential prospects, and represent the client effectively in the marketplace.
- Validate potential candidates through reference and source calls.
- Partner with consultants to develop and present qualified candidate slates to clients.
- Anticipate needs for search closure and provide supporting information such as market trends, compensation data, and candidate reactions.
- Contribute to the preparation of position specifications, candidate presentations, and reference reports.
- Communicate effectively with consultants and executive assistants regarding search developments.
- Prepare organized client progress reports and meetings, providing informed perspectives on candidates.
- Stay informed about industry activities and management changes, keeping team members updated.
- Enhance the firm's candidate pool expertise by identifying and introducing new talent.
- Ensure up-to-date assignment, company, and candidate information is available by leveraging the firm's database.
- Contribute to new business inquiries and business development initiatives.
- Proactively contribute to local, practice, or firm-wide initiatives and share practice-related information.
Requirements
- 3+ years of progressive business experience in executive search, talent acquisition, financial services, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a related client-facing professional services environment.
- Advancement of skills and knowledge evidenced through promotion or tenure.
- Superior project management skills demonstrated through experience working in a high-performance environment with multiple projects and competing demands.
- Excellent communication skills shown through clear, structured, and concise written and verbal presentation.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Postgraduate degree a plus.

- $100,000-130,000 per year
