About the Role
Westlake Dermatology has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Monday-Friday Medical Assistant to assist a provider at our Downtown Office. Candidate must have great attention to detail and excellent customer service skills; must have the ability to multi-task; and prior EHR (EMA) experience is a plus. Prior dermatology or plastic surgery experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the physician with patient care, including obtaining history, chief complaint, and consents
- Assisting with cosmetic procedures (including Botox, fillers, etc.)
- Preparing exam rooms
- Escorting patients to room
- Preparing patients for provider
- Assisting in patient education regarding aftercare protocols and what to expect after treatment
- EHR charting
- Stocking of rooms
- Turnover of rooms
- Reviewing and managing schedule to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately
- Ensuring supplies needed for procedure are available
Requirements
- Prior EHR (EMA) experience is a plus
- Prior dermatology or plastic surgery experience is preferred
- High school diploma plus either completion of a college degree or a Medical Assistant program required
- Medical assistant certification is preferred
- 1-2 years of prior experience in a dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic setting working as a medical assistant or clinical assistant preferred
- Excellent communication skills
