About the Role
Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Physical Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The role requires the ability to plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement programs to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical, mental and social well-being.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary.
- Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as outlined by the State Physical Therapy Practice Act.
- Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required.
- Maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents.
Requirements
- Must possess a current license and registration to practice as a Physical Therapist, PT in the State of NY.
- Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing.
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, & passionate about quality care.
- Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents.
- Patience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers.
