Responsibilities
- Manage and serve as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met and queries are handled promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and finalize statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and bookkeeping with minimal supervision.
- Ensure accurate and timely VAT returns and registration submissions.
- Oversee payroll processes and provide support on compliance.
- Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal systems and workflows for greater efficiency.
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3 – 5 years post-qualified experience in practice.
- Knowledge of UK reporting requirements, including FRS 102, 105 and UK GAAP.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, adhering strictly to reporting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Audit and personal tax experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Working knowledge of Xero, Sage, and CCH.
- Proficient use of Excel.
