About the Role

BonFry is a service provider for gastronomy, hotels, and food production, focusing on the sustainable use of used cooking oil as a resource for fuel production. We aim to create a closed-loop system that transforms restaurant waste into valuable raw materials for the future fuel industry. Our services and technology already enable hundreds of restaurants, wholesalers, and producers to contribute to a sustainable environment by producing sustainable fuels from residual materials with our partners.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically align the supply chain for growth in collaboration with management.
  • Lead and develop the growing regional supply chain team with a hands-on mentality.
  • Take full operational responsibility from day one, leading teams and driving process improvement on the ground.
  • Develop the strategic and operational foundation for scalable growth across locations.
  • Implement effective KPIs, process standards, and digitalization for last-mile logistics.
  • Build structures that support current operations and future growth.
  • Develop the strategy for the BonFry Supply Chain with managing directors.
  • Manage medium and short-term supply chain planning.
  • Develop a KPI framework to track utilization, service quality, costs, and unit economics across locations, and derive actionable measures.
  • Drive operational processes, including tour planning, loading, and used oil collection, ensuring scalability with new locations and routes.
  • Identify and implement improvement potentials in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Automate and digitize processes and workflows for increased efficiency and customer-friendliness.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety and security standards in warehouses and during operations, and continuously improve safety structures.
  • Directly manage 13 drivers and warehouse employees across all locations.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact, close to operational activities, and implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Strengthen the existing team structure and prepare it for future growth.
  • Proactively develop employees and team setups to meet increasing demands and team expansion.
  • Be present at all locations through regular business trips to ensure clear processes, strengthen collaboration, and maintain high operational quality.
  • Communicate a clear vision for the supply chain and effectively guide people through change.
  • Support key recruiting processes, from selection to onboarding and integration.
  • Actively lead the setup and expansion of the team.

Requirements

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or Business is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with proven success in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, Fulfillment, or Last-Mile operations.
  • Experience in supporting an organization during a growth phase with active involvement.
  • Proven experience in directly leading operational teams (e.g., drivers, warehouse staff), especially in managing team growth.
  • Experience in designing and building scalable, cross-location processes and standards from scratch.
  • Primary work location is Berlin, with regular business travel to NRW and Hamburg.
  • Residency in Berlin or surrounding areas.
  • Native-level German language skills (C2).
