Responsibilities
- Plan and execute recreational activities for youth enrolled in evening and weekend programs.
- Supervise all program participants.
- Ensure participants properly sign in on daily attendance sheets.
- Adhere to site-specific requirements and program staff manual, prioritizing quality services and participant safety.
- Notify supervisors of any behaviors impeding service quality and safety, including incidents of physical injury or harm.
- Utilize positive youth development principles for behavior management and discipline.
- Build positive relationships with and among participants, acting as a role model.
- Assist with any program activity as deemed necessary by program administration.
Requirements
- Must be able to meet set deadlines.
- Must have a genuine love for working with children.
- Must want to serve as a mentor.
