About the Role

Provide technical expertise and support during pre and post construction stages of solar photovoltaic (PV) battery storage projects. Work closely with Operations and Project Development staff to structure solutions for customers’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer commercial and small utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and electrical construction projects, ensuring compliance with codes and requirements.
• Audit sites for system suitability, environmental and structural limitations, electrical infrastructure, array placement, and general feasibility.
• Create construction drawing sets for permit and installation.
• Specify system components, including panels/modules, inverters, racking, batteries, and balance-of-system materials.
• Establish design specifications and scopes of work for Engineers of Record (EOR).
• Support the development of Scopes of Work for equipment selection, installation subcontractors, and engineering consultants.

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience in Electrical Engineering, Solar Development or Construction of renewable energy systems.
• Experience using Solar Design and Modeling Software (Helioscope, Energy ToolBase, and/or PV Syst preferred).
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Travel required with employee’s automobile.

Salary/Compensations

• $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 + bonus + benefits
