About the Role
This role is key to managing the end-to-end production process for kids’ apparel, from order placement to final delivery. The Senior Production Coordinator will ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and retailer requirements, while proactively solving problems in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily correspondence and production coordination with overseas factories.
- Liaise cross-functionally with design, sales, technical design, and traffic teams.
- Maintain and monitor time and action (T&A) calendars and production WIP reports.
- Track and follow up on all production orders to ensure on-time execution and resolve delays.
- Ensure bulk deliveries meet retailer requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with traffic and accounting for timely payment releases and on-schedule goods arrival.
- Review and approve/comment on shipping marks, packaging layouts, and hangtags.
- Ensure compliance with Walmart and private label standards, including testing and packaging.
- Anticipate and resolve fit, safety, and compliance challenges using knowledge of kids’ apparel production.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of private label production experience.
- Kids’ apparel experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with PLM systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to liaise effectively across teams and with overseas vendors.
- Extremely detail-oriented, resourceful, and adaptable.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, production timelines, and testing requirements.
