About the Role

Behavioral Perspective (BPI) is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians, providing essential therapy services to children, teens, and young adults with Autism. This role involves direct one-on-one therapy sessions, empowering clients to develop crucial life skills, communication abilities, and social interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, one-on-one therapy sessions to clients diagnosed with Autism.
  • Collaborate with experienced managers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Support clients in achieving their goals in various settings, including clinics, homes, schools, and community environments.
  • Work directly with clients on developing self-advocacy skills.
  • Assist clients in acquiring crucial life skills.
  • Enhance clients' ability to communicate effectively.
  • Help clients learn socially significant behaviors.
  • Manage challenging behaviors.
  • Improve clients' social interactions.
  • Serve as positive role models and advocates for clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • Clear sex offender registry check.
  • Clear abuse and neglect registry check.
  • Clear MVR background check (as required by position).
  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation, including bending, kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, walking, running, and moving quickly from seated to standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally assist in the physical movement of clients.
  • Possess hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak.
  • Ability to respond safely to physical aggression and ensure the safety of oneself and the client.
  • Ability to learn, demonstrate, and explain physical skills of moderate complexity.
  • Ability to assist clients with hygiene and bathroom needs for all genders.
  • Ability to work in a variety of locations, including BPI clinics, client homes, schools, and community settings.
