About the Role
As an Event Specialist, you will plan, execute, and evaluate events to promote B2B SaaS solutions in the education technology sector, creating impactful experiences to connect with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute virtual and in-person events, including webinars, conferences, workshops, and roundtables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on event goals, content, and messaging.
- Coordinate event budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and track expenses.
- Support event marketing strategies to drive attendance and engagement.
- Manage and identify speaking opportunities aligned with event strategy.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including registration, speaker coordination, AV setup, and on-site support.
- Manage event content in partnership with marketing teams.
- Evaluate event success through metrics and provide insights for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices for event strategies.
- Foster relationships with partners, sponsors, and potential event collaborators.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in virtual and in-person event planning and execution, with a strong portfolio of successful B2B events.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel for in-person events.
- Familiarity with the education technology sector and the needs of educators and educational institutions is preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in event and project management software and tools (e.g., CVENT, Goldcast, Zuddl, Zoom, Asana).
- Analytical mindset to measure and analyze event performance data (e.g., Tableau and Salesforce).
