About the Role
The Parts Driver / Warehouse Associate is responsible for delivering automotive parts and equipment to customers, vendors, wholesale accounts, and internal departments, while also assisting with inventory management, shipping/receiving, and warehouse organization within the dealership parts department.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver automotive parts and equipment to customers, vendors, and wholesale accounts.
- Coordinate deliveries with the Parts Manager, wholesale team, and shipping & receiving staff.
- Deliver parts to service technicians and body shop departments.
- Verify invoices and purchase orders for all deliveries and pick-ups.
- Collect and verify payments received with delivery invoices.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures.
- Unload delivery vehicle and turn in paperwork and undelivered parts.
- Perform basic maintenance of delivery vehicle (fuel, cleanliness, inspections).
- Assist with stocking parts and organizing warehouse inventory.
- Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Assist the service department with customer vehicle drop-off and pick-up when needed.
- Pick up parts from wholesale parts warehouses when required.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Compare shipments with invoices, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
- Prepare parts for shipment with proper packaging and labeling.
- Route incoming parts to appropriate departments or technicians.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage and inventory areas.
- Report damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Operate hand trucks or warehouse equipment when necessary.
- Process returns including damaged or unsold parts.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Previous automotive, delivery, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts.
- Reliable, motivated, and a self-starter.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Desire to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
