About the Role

The SQL Developer is responsible for SQL development and ETL/data integration support for Merchants’ Microsoft SQL Server databases and Merchants Insight Business Intelligence platform, including development support of an internal SharePoint application written in C#.

Responsibilities

• Supports the development and maintenance of SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in MS SQL Server.
• Supports and maintains an internal SharePoint application written in C#, including bug fixes, enhancements, and ongoing development tasks.
• Develops and maintains ETL processes to support data integration and Business Intelligence solutions.
• Works to meet timelines for assigned deliverables and completes work within expected timelines.
• Brings identified roadblocks and/or obstacles that would result in missing a deliverable due date, to management’s attention for a resolution.
• Unit and System test all changes to ensure solutions operate according to specification.
• Provides after-hours of technical support as needed and adheres to change management process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science required.
• 2-3 years’ experience in SQL development required.
• Hands on experience with ETL Platform required.
• Experience with C# is required to support and maintain an internal SharePoint application.
• Familiarity with the IT Systems Development Lifecycle.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with business partners, stakeholders, developers, and DBAs.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and provide appropriate technical resolution in a timely manner.
