About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Academy Education Tutor to support students in their academic journey by providing personalized instruction and guidance. This role requires a passion for education, a strong commitment to student success, competency in tracking learner progress, high-level communication with stakeholders, and expertise in SEND.

Responsibilities

• Offer personalized tutoring sessions, tailoring instruction to specific learning needs, goals, and curriculum requirements.
• Prepare engaging and structured lesson plans based on academic level and objectives.
• Regularly evaluate students' progress and learning outcomes through various assessment methods.
• Apply diverse teaching techniques and adapt approaches to meet unique learning styles.
• Be available to work as an evening tutor for the YDP at least once a week.
• Track hybrid learners' progress and liaise with schools on progress.
• Plan and deliver challenging and engaging lessons for BTEC/SEP education courses.
• Assess learners throughout BTEC/SEP programmes in compliance with Premier League and Awarding Organisation policies.
• Maintain up-to-date tracking of each learner and provide a reporting platform for constructive feedback.
• Identify teaching methods suitable to the target audience and constantly review for nuances.
• Create an environment that allows everyone to flourish.
• Comply with all Club policies, including health and safety, data regulations, and other legal, ethical, and social requirements.
• Build and maintain good working relationships while maintaining a professional image.
• Keep confidential any information gained regarding the Club and its personnel.
• Maintain a flexible approach to work.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher and Learning Status (QTLS).
• Knowledge of Safeguarding and Protecting Children.
• Educated to a minimum of undergraduate degree level.
• Up-to-date tracking of all learners with a view to updating the education department and all stakeholders.
• High-level planning of curriculum and lesson plans.
• Available to be present in MDT meetings, feeding back relevant information to the wider education department.
• High-level communication skills to interact and converse with stakeholders pertinent to learner progress, punctuality, and attainment.
• Flexibility is important as the football calendar can dictate the education week.

• Understanding to enforce the direction of travel for the academic year.
• Stakeholders will demand availability and timely information.
• Must understand, adhere to, and actively uphold all relevant safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Must report any concerns in a timely manner to the Club’s Safeguarding Team.
