About the Role
Relay is a digital banking platform designed to empower self-made business owners with financial clarity, confidence, and control. The IT team supports the systems and tools that enable employees to perform at their best. As an IT Specialist II, you will provide essential day-to-day support, maintain the Toronto office, and contribute to operational improvement projects, leveraging strong technical skills and a service-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely support for hardware, software, identity, access, connectivity, and workplace technology.
- Independently manage and resolve IT support queue issues, escalating when necessary.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning and laptop setup.
- Procure, configure, deploy, and maintain IT equipment and peripherals.
- Address the technology needs of the Toronto office, including meeting rooms and video conferencing.
- Administer SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Iru, Okta, Slack, and Atlassian.
- Maintain documentation, asset records, and internal knowledge-base content.
- Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend system improvements.
- Automate routine tasks and enhance IT processes for scalability.
- Contribute to IT initiatives and lead smaller projects.
- Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional technology requirements.
- Enhance the employee experience through approachable and dependable IT support.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of IT support or IT Operations experience in a corporate environment.
- Ability to quickly become productive in a professional IT setting without foundational training.
- Hands-on experience with MDM systems, identity and access management, ticketing systems, and collaboration tools.
- Experience supporting macOS and Apple hardware in a managed corporate environment.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex hardware, software, identity, networking, and connectivity issues.
- Understanding of SSO, MFA, access permissions, least privilege, and secure onboarding/offboarding.
- Familiarity with office networking platforms (Ubiquiti, Meraki, Fortinet, Cisco, or Aruba).
- Comfort supporting Google Meet, Zoom, and meeting-room technology.
- Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly.
- Organized, curious, service-oriented, and motivated to improve systems.
- Must be on-site at the Toronto office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to perform necessary tasks.
- Experience in startups, high-growth environments, or fintech is a plus.
- Experience creating automations to reduce manual work is a plus.
- Familiarity with zero-trust environments and modern endpoint-security practices is a plus.
- Experience supporting office expansions, network deployments, or meeting-room installations is a plus.
- Experience leading smaller IT projects and working with Agile frameworks is a plus.
