About the Role

Oversee the daily operations of chemical processing in Crystal Manufacturing Laboratories, ensuring laboratory activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Manage laboratory personnel, maintain analytical equipment, review test results, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure accurate reporting while meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily laboratory testing and analytical activities
  • Schedule and prioritize laboratory workload to meet turnaround times
  • Manage laboratory supply inventory
  • Produce various chemical solutions to support production requirements
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, SOP’s, and quality systems
  • Monitor laboratory productivity and workflow efficiency
  • Recommend equipment purchases and laboratory upgrades
  • Supervise, mentor, and train laboratory technicians
  • Promote teamwork and a culture of accountability
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA & EPA regulations, chemical hygiene plans, and hazard communication requirements
  • Conduct laboratory safety inspections
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of chemical laboratory experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to laboratory safety and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to lead and motivate technical personnel
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on quality and operational excellence
