About the Role
As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for responding to inquiries from prospective clients, marketing and leasing apartments, and providing excellent customer service in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines. You will represent the company in a professional and courteous manner, demonstrating a strong commitment to the service needs of internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the community and local market competitor's specials and floor plans.
- Process lease application paperwork and prepare new lease contracts.
- Inspect target and/or show units in preparation for greeting and touring new prospects.
- Inspect pre-leased apartments prior to move-in and communicate any concerns.
- Utilize and promote all third-party online leasing programs.
- Log all prospect information and notifications into Property Management software.
- Respond to and document community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages.
- Stay up to date with all promotion/leasing incentives.
- Assist with completing Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist accurately.
- Post notices to vacate and other community communication.
- Assist with daily community inspections to ensure policies are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer-facing/customer service role.
- Demonstrated sales and closing skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Must have state leasing license or ability to obtain required license(s) within the timeframe required by law.
- Full range of motion with upper and lower body.
- Ability to perform continual movement including standing, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle onsite, if applicable.
- Ability to withstand exposure to all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift at least 20 pounds.
- Employment is conditional on a satisfactory background and drug screen.
