About the Role
SAIC is seeking an experienced Data Ops Engineer to support a United States Air Force customer within the Technical Engineering and Design Department.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data analytics techniques and applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
- Apply AI/ML techniques such as natural language processing (NLP), image recognition, neural networks, and predictive analytics to design, train, test, and deploy models for extracting insights and predictions from structured, unstructured, and classified data sources.
- Ensure proper handling of classified data feeds to comply with DoD and national security regulations.
- Implement advanced data pre-processing, cleansing, and security protocols suitable for classified datasets.
- Visualize, interpret, and report data findings in dynamic data reports.
- Employ a variety of data manipulation and visualization tools to convey information and results to customers.
- Support the design, development, testing, and implementation of web-based collaboration tools and platforms for data reporting.
- Plan and conduct software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts, in support of analytics objectives.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis for testing hypotheses.
Requirements
- Experience with AI/ML to design, train, test, and deploy AI and ML models.
- Experience with classified data feeds, ensuring compliance with DoD and national security regulations.
- Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.
- Operates standard computer-based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively.
- Demonstrates clear and concise written communication skills in a technical format.
- Active communicator - able to present technical briefs, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
- Ability to lead discussions pertaining to technical subject matter.
