About the Role

The primary objective of this role is to support inventory control, including conducting cycle counts and physical inventory checks. They will also support all other areas of the warehouse operations, including picking and receiving incoming stock, scanning and stocking automotive parts, preparing skids, processing returns, and maintaining the overall appearance of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks
  • Help control inventory and ensure product availability
  • Support all warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, shipping, stocking, and organizing parts)
  • Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
  • Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles
  • Follow health and safety awareness practices (e.g. safe material handling practices, knowledge and application of proper ergonomics and hand hygiene)
  • Efficiently sort items in alphanumeric order
  • Operate warehouse equipment when necessary to perform tasks
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Must be able to move products that weigh 10 – 50 pounds
  • Must be able to walk, climb, balance, twist, lift, and bend safely and regularly
  • References from previous employment or education may be required
  • Individual transportation will be required

Skills

  • Inventory management experience
  • Warehouse experience (e.g. picking, receiving, shipping, and maintenance)
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience and certifications on machinery (e.g. Walkie, Cherry Picker/Order Picker, Reach, Counterbalance)
  • RF Scanner experience
  • Strong basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measure
  • Strong basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use Outlook, online database and web-based training)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Positive and professional attitude with a flexible mindset
  • Accountability and dependability
  • Excellent ability to work independently and as a team
  • Time management skills and prioritization skills with a deadline-oriented mindset
