About the Role
This role supports inventory control through cycle counts and physical inventory checks. It also involves assisting with various warehouse operations such as picking, receiving, stocking, and preparing shipments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks
- Help control inventory and ensure product availability
- Support all warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, shipping, stocking, and organizing parts)
- Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
- Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles
- Follow health and safety awareness practices (e.g. safe material handling practices, knowledge and application of proper ergonomics and hand hygiene)
- Efficiently sort items in alphanumeric order
- Operate warehouse equipment when necessary to perform tasks
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including moving products weighing 10-50 pounds, and safely performing actions like walking, climbing, balancing, twisting, lifting, and bending.
- Individual transportation will be required as the location is not on a bus route.
- References from previous employment or education may be required.
- Must be free from impairment while at work and fit for duty due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
Skills
- Inventory management experience
- Warehouse experience (e.g. picking, receiving, shipping, and maintenance)
- Customer service experience
- Experience and certifications on machinery (e.g. Walkie, Cherry Picker/Order Picker, Reach, Counterbalance)
- RF Scanner experience
- Strong basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measure
- Strong basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use Outlook, online database and web-based training)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Positive and professional attitude with a flexible mindset
