About the Role

This role is responsible for developing strategies for product offerings, capabilities, features, and new account acquisition to drive growth of assigned credit card portfolios. The position supports and nurtures brand partner relationships, gains alignment on key initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver acquisition and product strategies. The candidate will use data to make key portfolio decisions, align strategies with business goals, and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture relationships to drive business growth and retention, potentially presenting to c-suite.
  • Advocate for brand partners while meeting business objectives and removing internal roadblocks.
  • Set objectives, negotiate outcomes, and collaborate with matrix teams (Credit Management, Field, Portfolio Analytics, Marketing) to achieve goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with digital, capabilities, tech, operations, and fraud teams to align client strategies with business goals.
  • Resolve complex problems impacting multiple teams or the organization, working through ambiguity and high-stress situations.
  • Ensure efficient resource allocation for significant issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with brand partners to tackle challenges and make decisive choices in ambiguous environments.
  • Identify strategic portfolio needs and request acquisition plans from MCOE.
  • Ensure annual/quarterly plans align with P&L and long-term objectives.
  • Present annual plans and gain client approval.
  • Share strategy briefs and deadlines with clients for ongoing campaigns.
  • Review results and recommendations with brand partners.
  • Assess capabilities and identify those that drive strategic portfolio objectives.
  • Prioritize new capability turn-on based on business value.
  • Build compelling business cases for recommendations to brand partners.
  • Ensure correct product mix for brands based on business need and P&L impact.
  • Lead the coordination and development of complex analytics to predict future performance trends.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources across departments for a holistic performance view.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation through advanced data analysis.
  • Drive strategy for the Value Proposition informed by portfolio objectives.
  • Consult MCOE in the value proposition management process.
  • Bring along ECM and other matrix partners.
  • Gain brand alignment to changes and new opportunities.
  • Manage P&L impacts.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive forecasts for acquisition and new account numbers.
  • Ensure forecasts align with strategic goals and accurately predict P&L impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • 10-13 years experience in Account Management, Sales, Finance, Product Management, Project Management, Marketing, credit card portfolio management
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed environment and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience developing or executing acquisition, product, and growth strategies for consumer credit card portfolios within a financial services organization
  • Must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for sponsorship.
  • Cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.
