About the Role
Ramp is seeking a Senior Manager, Deal Desk to lead and evolve a strategic go-to-market function. This role sits at the center of the commercial engine, partnering with various departments to structure, approve, and execute key deals. The position requires balancing commercial creativity with operational rigor to help Sales win opportunities while protecting pricing discipline and ensuring a positive customer experience. The individual will own the operating model for deal structuring, approval, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a Deal Desk team while remaining a hands-on operator, supporting strategic and complex commercial opportunities.
- Own the Deal Desk function, partnering with Sales, Finance, Legal, Revenue Operations, Product, and Billing.
- Structure creative commercial solutions across pricing, contract terms, payment structures, and packaging to accelerate growth while protecting the business.
- Design and improve approval frameworks, pricing guardrails, commercial policies, and deal governance.
- Own the end-to-end deal approval process across Salesforce, CPQ, contracting, and downstream financial systems.
- Drive automation and process improvements across Deal Desk workflows, reporting, and quote-to-cash operations.
- Leverage data to identify trends, improve operational performance, and inform commercial decision-making.
- Build scalable playbooks, documentation, and enablement to improve consistency and position Deal Desk as a strategic partner.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Strategic Finance, Commercial Operations, or a related function.
- Experience supporting complex commercial transactions at a high-growth technology company.
- Deep expertise across pricing, deal structuring, contracting, approvals, and the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
- Experience partnering directly with Sales leadership on complex enterprise deals and non-standard commercial structures.
- Experience leading or mentoring high-performing team members while remaining a hands-on operator.
- Strong commercial judgment, analytical problem-solving skills, and a systems-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Actively leverages AI tools as a core part of daily work, with hands-on experience applying tools like Claude Code to automate workflows, accelerate analysis, and improve decision-making.
