About the Role
Monte Nido Rockland is seeking a per diem Mental Health Technician/Recovery Coach to join their residential treatment program for adults with eating disorders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop a career in mental health and the eating disorder field.
Responsibilities
- Integrate and support clients through their recovery journey.
- Provide support and intervention consistent with the client’s treatment plan.
- Engage clients in developing healthy and appropriate connections with other clients and the team.
- Assist in food preparation and set-up; model and supervise client meals and snacks.
- Gain exposure to therapeutic groups and develop core skills for clinical growth.
- Conduct rounds and provide observations.
- Occasionally drive clients off-site for appointments and activities.
Requirements
- At least two years of post-high school education.
- At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is highly desired.
- Valid state-issued Driver’s License with a safe driving history.
- Good communication and client relations skills.
- Service orientation.
