About the Role

Training The Street (TTS) is seeking a Technology Operations & Solutions Technician to support the day-to-day operations, security, and governance of systems as the business expands its technology stack. This role involves IT support, onboarding/offboarding, security operations, and contributing to the design and build of internal tools.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and triage support for hardware, software, and business applications.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account and device provisioning.
  • Maintain asset inventories and software licensing.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls.
  • Support the creation or improvement of operating procedures and technical documentation.
  • Assist with security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and incident response.
  • Contribute to compliance initiatives, including audit evidence, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Assist with IT risk assessments and risk mitigation actions.
  • Respond to incidents outside of normal working hours when necessary.
  • Support the translation of business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Assist in designing and building internal solutions using AI and appropriate database engines.
  • Integrate solutions with existing SaaS tools.
  • Plan and manage day-to-day technical operations for existing and future applications.
  • Establish operational discipline and maintainable engineering standards.
  • Apply security best practices across the solution lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the company's technical direction.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in IT support, technology operations, or software development.
  • Experience supporting users, operating a service desk, and triaging with ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of core security principles.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a small team with minimal process.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical information to non-technical colleagues.
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Good troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and practices.
  • Desire to improve and fix things.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, or Microsoft Intune (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) (Desirable).
  • Relevant IT qualification or certifications (Desirable).
  • Exposure to compliance-adjacent work (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks or compliance standards (Desirable).
  • Direct experience using Claude, GPT, or other LLM APIs and MCPs to build applications (Desirable).
  • Working knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g., TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, SQL) (Desirable).
  • Practical experience with relational databases (Desirable).
  • Prior experience in a small business or startup environment (Desirable).
