About the Role

The Assistant Property Manager will support the Property Manager in the daily operations of an affordable housing apartment community, The Tahanan, in San Francisco. This role involves providing customer service, coordinating staff, and managing resident engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Enter data in resident accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Assist with resident records documentation.
  • Collect rent and other income, make bank deposits, and forward receipts.
  • Assist with the leasing process from initial application to move-in.
  • Respond to customer service requests.
  • Work outside normal business hours to respond to property needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of administrative, office, accounting, or customer service experience.
  • Property management work experience and knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws.
  • Knowledge of real estate property management applications.
  • Adhere to complex regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain resident account receivable ledgers under supervision.
  • Strong understanding of HUD and Tax Credit experience are essential.
  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors.
  • Take the initiative and provide direction to staff.
  • Work with the Front Desk and Maintenance site teams.
  • Coordinate resident engagement and events.
