About the Role

Dragonfly Cares is seeking reliable Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Behavior Technicians (BT) for a paid, on-call position providing school coverage to students receiving ABA services. This role is ideal for flexible, dependable professionals who enjoy working in a school setting and are available to step in and support students when coverage is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Be available on-call M-F between 6am-9am to accept same-day school assignments
  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy and behavioral support under BCBA supervision during full school days
  • Follow individualized behavior intervention and support plans
  • Collect and record accurate data on behavior and skill progress
  • Maintain detailed and professional documentation per school and agency standards
  • Participate in supervision and ongoing trainings to strengthen clinical skills

Requirements

  • Previous school-based or special education experience
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental delays
  • Reliable transportation to different school districts across Nassau & Suffolk counties
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others

Salary/Compensations

  • $23-26 per hour
  • $17/hour while on call
