About the Role
As an Engineer Lead, Quality, you will lead quality engineering practices that ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions. You will be accountable for embedding quality across the software development lifecycle while guiding teams toward scalable, automation-first approaches. You will work closely with engineering, product, and delivery stakeholders to reduce risk and improve customer outcomes. Success in this role is measured through product quality, operational excellence, release confidence, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality engineering strategy across multiple products, applications, or platforms.
- Drive adoption of automation-first testing practices and continuous testing pipelines.
- Define and implement scalable test frameworks for functional and non-functional validation.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to identify quality risks and mitigation strategies.
- Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting to drive data-informed decisions.
- Lead test planning, execution, defect management, and release readiness activities.
- Champion shift-left testing practices and quality ownership across development teams.
- Oversee performance, security, integration, and resilience testing initiatives.
- Mentor and develop quality engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, governance, and data integrity requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading quality engineering, software testing, or quality assurance initiatives.
- Strong expertise in test automation frameworks, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
- Deep understanding of software testing methodologies across functional and non-functional domains.
- Experience developing quality strategies for complex, distributed, and enterprise-scale systems.
- Proficiency in defect management, root cause analysis, and quality improvement practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
