About the Role

Arlo Hotels is seeking a dynamic Bar Manager to oversee all aspects of bar operations, ensuring outstanding guest experiences. This role involves managing the bar team, maintaining high standards of beverage quality and service, driving profitability, and fostering a strong team culture. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations, including front-of-house activities and guest experience.
• Ensure the bar meets and exceeds quality, service, beverage, and cleanliness standards.
• Manage beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control to meet budgetary goals.
• Manage payroll, including timekeeping review, labor management, and scheduling.
• Create and maintain team schedules to ensure proper staffing levels and operational coverage.
• Partner with leadership to identify operational opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff, including bartenders, servers, runners, and hosts.
• Coordinate onboarding plans for new hires.
• Own the new hire training experience, ensuring proper department training and support.
• Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to the team.
• Create and maintain a positive work environment that encourages team cohesion and growth.
• Implement performance evaluations and address staff concerns promptly.
• Monitor adherence to SOPs, service standards, and training guidelines.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and address guest concerns professionally.
• Lead by example in creating memorable guest experiences and fostering a culture of hospitality.
• Implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat business.
• Manage the bar’s budget, including forecasting and controlling expenses.
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, labor costs, beverage costs, and profitability.
• Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities, programming, and events.
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, beverage service requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the bar operates within legal and company guidelines.
• Ensure team members are properly trained and follow all company policies, procedures, and service expectations.
