About the Role
The primary responsibility of Maintenance Assistant is to ensure all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to market ready status, and that service requests are completed in a timely manner. Assumes the responsibilities of the Lead Maintenance in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor parts, supplies and equipment inventory.
- Provide support to all other maintenance staff.
- Participate in quarterly property inspections.
- Remove trash from outside each shift.
- Assist Lead Maintenance, as needed.
- Clean vacant apartments.
- Provide excellent customer service to all residents.
- May be required to work at other Foundation Communities properties in the Austin area as needed.
- Required to be on call.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of practical experience with demonstration of required skills.
- Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
- Make-ready experience helpful with good understanding of pools, plumbing, electrical, etc.
