About the Role

The primary responsibility of Maintenance Assistant is to ensure all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to market ready status, and that service requests are completed in a timely manner. Assumes the responsibilities of the Lead Maintenance in their absence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor parts, supplies and equipment inventory.
• Provide support to all other maintenance staff.
• Participate in quarterly property inspections.
• Remove trash from outside each shift.
• Assist Lead Maintenance, as needed.
• Clean vacant apartments.
• Provide excellent customer service to all residents.
• May be required to work at other Foundation Communities properties in the Austin area as needed.
• Required to be on call.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of practical experience with demonstration of required skills.
• Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
• Make-ready experience helpful with good understanding of pools, plumbing, electrical, etc.
