About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable specialist to join our team in Frankfurt or Berlin. This full-time role is crucial for managing the accounts payable process for multiple companies and ensuring a smooth end-to-end workflow.
Responsibilities
- Manage central invoice reception for multiple companies and ensure a smooth end-to-end accounts payable process.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding incorrect invoices, reminders, and inquiries.
- Review, code, and book incoming invoices in InSpyrus according to internal guidelines.
- Daily review of open items and independent execution of payment runs, adhering to payment deadlines.
- Upload bank statements to Oracle and reconcile outgoing payments.
- Process credit card and travel expense reports in Concur.
- Maintain and ensure the quality of supplier master data in Oracle.
- Reconcile accounts in the accounts payable area at month-end.
- Act as a point of contact for audit inquiries, complex issues, and cross-departmental coordination with Controlling and Operations.
- Contribute to the further development and optimization of accounts payable processes.
- Support knowledge transfer within the team and potentially onboard new employees.
- Responsible for the correct coding and booking of petty cash.
- Review expense reports for completeness and compliance with the T&E Policy.
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship or a degree in Business Administration / Accounting.
- Sound, multi-year professional experience in accounts payable.
- Very good knowledge of accounts payable processes, coding, invoice verification, and handling complex accounting matters.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting/ERP systems, ideally Oracle.
- Experience working with suppliers and in master data maintenance.
- Routine in processing travel expense and credit card statements.
- Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Structured, reliable, and independent work style.
- Experience in collaborating with audits, financial statements, and process-related optimizations is advantageous.
- Carefulness, accuracy, and a sense of responsibility.
