About the Role
We are looking for mandatory internship students in various areas for our Feel Festival. This internship is exclusively for enrolled students whose study regulations require a mandatory internship. No compensation is provided for this internship.
Responsibilities
- Gain insights into the preparation, planning, execution, and follow-up of a large festival.
- Learn about various topics such as personnel planning, energy supply, water/wastewater management, lighting and sound technology, waste management, infrastructure, fleet management, cashless systems, radio, and internet.
- Assist with organizational processes in daily production, such as calculations, offer comparisons, or database maintenance.
- Gain insights into the development and implementation of the supporting program as well as art and light installations.
- Support collaboration with artists and creative professionals.
- Participate in coordination with various stakeholders and in exchange with other festival areas.
- Assist with organizational tasks such as offer comparisons, contract management, or data maintenance.
- Experience on-site implementation during the festival.
- Gain insights into the creative development and visual design of the festival.
- Participate in processes related to stage and site design, decorative elements, and lighting and spatial concepts.
- Support collaboration between artistic teams, production, and technical departments.
- Experience how design ideas are translated into practical implementation.
- Support the coordination of the construction team on-site.
- Gain insights into the selection and planning process of artists and program items.
- Support processes from initial inquiries to contract finalization.
- Participate in communication and coordination with agencies, management, and artists.
- Gain an overview of organizational tasks such as schedules, technical requirements, or travel logistics.
- Develop creative concepts for our social media channels and support the creation and publication of content on Instagram & TikTok.
- Community management: Respond to comments and messages on Instagram & TikTok and interact with our community.
- Process ticket orders and assist in answering visitor emails.
- Support festival production with text writing for, e.g., our program booklet or newsletter.
- Support festival production in managing photographers and the video team during the event.
Requirements
- Enrolled student with a mandatory internship according to study regulations (duration min. 3 months).
- Studies in a relevant field, e.g., event management/technology, business, cultural management/work, architecture, stage design, humanities, or similar.
- Willingness to work on-site at Bergheider See with the team in June and July.
- Structured, independent work style.
- Team player, committed, and reliable.
- Proficient in standard office software.
- Good German and English language skills.
- Driver's license class B is an advantage.
- Provide proof of mandatory internship requirement (e.g., excerpt from study regulations or confirmation from your university).
