About the Role
Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their UK team, playing a leading role in delivering complex engineering solutions for major infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects. The role involves acting as a technical leader, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, influencing engineering standards, and solving industry challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across a range of projects and responsibilities.
- Lead the development and delivery of complex electrical engineering designs and solutions.
- Act as a trusted technical specialist and provide guidance to project teams.
- Support multidisciplinary project delivery from concept through to execution.
- Review engineering deliverables, ensuring technical excellence, quality, and compliance.
- Develop engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage technical scope, quality, budgets, and schedules for assigned workstreams.
- Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and engineering teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Support business development and help identify future opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Mentor and develop engineers across the team, helping build future technical capability.
- Contribute to solutions that address complex infrastructure and energy challenges globally.
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Significant post-graduate engineering experience, typically 8+ years.
- Experience delivering complex electrical engineering projects.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, or project guidance.
- A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Must be able to complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements, which may include background checks and other onboarding requirements in accordance with local regulations.
