About the Role
This position serves as an expert technical and industry resource to management, clients, and development staff in new uses of information technology and in all phases of major system and subsystem development. Provides consultation on internal and industry IT technical and business process capabilities, including leadership in the identification and recommendation of new IT opportunities. Formulates, contributes to, and directs task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for research, prototype, and proof-of-concept IT activities. Directs and participates in software/hardware releases and installation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Create/update maps, guidelines, and profiles using Edifecs tools such as EDIFECS SpecBuilder, Map Builder, EAM as per functional logic.
- Create maps and guidelines (xml, DFF, PFF) for Healthcare EDI transactions like 837, 834, 835, 820 transactions.
- Responsible for design, development, and implementation of Edifecs solution.
- Responsible for any configuration changes in XEngine configuration files for any TP specific validation.
- Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the transmissions in Edifecs Transaction manager.
- Configure Severity files to perform custom error validation.
- Coordinate with other application teams and provide needed support to QA team.
- Analyzes problems and program in two or more programming language/platforms.
- Understands and develops functional and non-functional requirements for a system.
- Works with multiple programming frameworks.
- Develops, tests, and maintains code using software development methodology and appropriate technologies for the system being used.
- Integrates systems to databases and other applications using middleware such as SnapLogic and consume or produce SOAP or REST based services, etc.
- Performs load and performance testing on the application and do regular performance tuning.
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of technical and business challenges relating to EDI product upgrades.
- Able to configure the Edifecs tools, and understand systems integration, application, technical behavior, and business / technical requirements.
- Knowledge of software development / implementation processes.
- Able to explain technical solutions and fixes to stakeholders.
- Must fit in the Agile development environment.
- 2+ years of programming experience.
- Critical thinker.
- Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
