About the Role
NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Senior Echo Tech / Sonographer to join their Pediatric Cardiac Imaging team. This full-time role involves performing echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms, supporting TAVR and RAMP cases, maintaining equipment, and leading inpatient pediatric echocardiograms. The position also includes cross-training staff and assisting the Supervisor of Cardiology.
Responsibilities
- Completing echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms for outpatient and inpatients.
- Supporting TAVR and RAMP cases done in the Cath Labs for pre and post imaging.
- Maintaining all Echo related equipment.
- Serving as the lead for inpatient pediatric echocardiograms.
- Serving as the lead to cross train existing staff and maintain pediatric quality of the lab.
- Assisting the Supervisor of Cardiology with related tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program Graduate
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- At least 3 years of experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support - AHA
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
