About the Role
Seeking an experienced Performance Tester with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and executing performance testing strategies for enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance engineering, workload modeling, bottleneck analysis, capacity planning, and performance monitoring across web, mobile, APIs, and cloud-based applications. The candidate should possess hands-on experience with industry-standard performance testing tools and work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure application scalability, stability, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance (soak), spike, scalability, and volume testing.
- Create performance test strategies, plans, scripts, and execution reports.
- Develop and maintain reusable test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, or NeoLoad.
- Design realistic workload models based on production traffic and business requirements.
- Execute API performance testing for REST and SOAP services.
- Analyze application response times, throughput, latency, CPU utilization, memory usage, garbage collection, and database performance.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with developers, DBAs, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to resolve issues.
- Perform root cause analysis using profiling and monitoring tools.
- Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments.
- Configure distributed load generators for large-scale performance testing.
- Validate application performance in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Monitor application performance using APM tools during testing.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Prepare performance reports with recommendations and optimization strategies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior performance testers and establish performance testing best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and executing performance testing strategies for enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong expertise in performance engineering, workload modeling, bottleneck analysis, capacity planning, and performance monitoring across web, mobile, APIs, and cloud-based applications.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard performance testing tools.
