About the Role

We’re seeking a Schooling Optimization Analyst to help optimize the core processes that run our schools, including student class placement, schedule building, and operational configuration. This role is part of our Schooling Decision Science capability, focusing initially on rostering, its execution, data integrity, and automation. It is a full-year role involving initial build, auditing, measurement, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Support the design and build of optimization models for schooling processes, including rostering, to improve student, educator, and time allocation.
Execute optimizations through network systems and audit results to ensure school-specific considerations are implemented and outcomes are compliant.
Identify manual steps and extend automation each cycle, focusing on reducing manual hours and preventing errors.
Own the accuracy of optimization data, continuously auditing and resolving issues before they reach schools.
Produce status, exception, and outcome reporting for school and network leaders.
Complete required state and district reporting accurately and on time.
Collaborate with school leaders and network teams to ensure timely inputs and standardized process flow.

Requirements

3-5 years of relevant experience in data, analytics, or operations, ideally within an academic environment.
Strong data skills, including comfort manipulating, auditing, and reconciling large datasets.
Advanced Excel proficiency required.
SQL or another scripting language is a plus.
Student information system experience is helpful.
A track record of automating or streamlining a manual process.
Experience working with decentralized teams within a matrixed organization.
A bachelor’s degree is required.
