About the Role
EPIC Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services. The goal is to rehabilitate patients and successfully return them to their lives, or to create the best possible environment and optimize quality of life for permanent residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services.
- Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the occupational therapy program.
- Interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel, residents, family members, etc.
- Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS).
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as required.
- Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes.
- Maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents.
Requirements
- Must possess a current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of NY.
- Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing.
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, & passionate about quality care.
- Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents.
- Patience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers.

- Trusted to work independently & in a team environment.
- Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff.
