About the Role
The Americas Rates Trading team is seeking a Vice President level trader for USD denominated rates products based in New York City. This role involves market-making in US dollar (USD) related bond products, particularly Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities, in coordination with the global Sales & Trading team to service clients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Market-making US dollar (USD) related bond products, especially Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities.
- Coordinating with local and global Sales & Trading teams to service clients.
- Understanding and interpreting market trends.
- Identifying, communicating, and marketing trade ideas.
- Working in a high-paced environment under pressure.
- Interacting closely with rates and credit trading groups.
- Collaborating with the distribution force to expand the franchise with key constituents.
- Working with risk and control partners to support a controlled environment.
Requirements
- Experienced with market-making, preferably in USD Rates instruments and specifically US Agency Mortgages.
- A deep understanding of the asset class.
- A proven track-record in revenue generation.
- A proven track-record in sustaining/generating high quality market share.
- Proven risk management skills.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- A deep understanding of capital and regulatory matters in Over-The-Counter (cash/derivatives) and Listed (futures) products.
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
