About the Role

The Leasing Manager will enhance and create property value through leasing within the industrial portfolio, providing overall leasing support to ensure best-in-class standards. Responsibilities include negotiating leases, renewals, and amendments, and coordinating with various departments for successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary leasing support for assigned projects.
  • Champion all leasing initiatives within the industrial portfolio.
  • Negotiate tenant deals, offers, and leases for assigned projects within established parameters.
  • Review and obtain internal approvals for all leasing assignments, subleases, and transfers.
  • Provide strategic direction and market intelligence for tenant mix.
  • Collaborate with asset management, property management, construction, and legal teams to maintain properties and standardize lease policies.
  • Create leasing programs aligned with company strategy.
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with clients and brokers.
  • Promote assigned projects and proactively seek new tenants.
  • Provide market rental and incentive intelligence for projects to maximize returns.
  • Oversee assigned portfolio leasing budgets and quarterly reforecasting.
  • Collaborate with leasing and asset management teams on reports and requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting on projects and transactions, monitoring performance against budget.
  • Provide administrative and marketing support to leasing and asset management teams.
  • Report regularly on leasing activities and initiatives.
  • Identify value-add opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in real estate, business, and/or finance.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leasing experience.
  • Industrial leasing experience is a strong asset.
  • Ability to present a list of completed transactions and showcase stakeholder relationships.
  • Financial acumen, understanding industrial leasing metrics.
  • Solid understanding of lease documents and real estate terminology.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel locally for tours and meetings, and nationally for portfolio leasing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and VTS.
  • Ability to adapt to new systems.
