About the Role
Responsible for developing, preparing, and implementing large and complex proposals for potential and/or existing customers within Veolia's Energy business unit. This role requires shaping compelling win themes, structuring complex documents, and visually representing proposals to tell a winning story, acting as the principal liaison between various departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire proposal workload, prioritizing and driving submissions from inception to completion.
- Shape strategic win themes, structure proposal documents, and utilize strong instincts for graphics to visually represent technical solutions and craft a compelling "how we win" narrative.
- Support the creation of sales enablement content, including client presentations and case studies, to drive business development efforts.
- Leverage AI tools efficiently within the proposal process to streamline drafting, editing, and content generation.
- Track key data including: customer, proposal due date, firm or budgetary, responsible parties, total bid amount, win rate, and report out data and trends.
- Develop and prepare detailed responses to proposals and qualification packages.
- Develop and write text for specific responses services and industry related requests.
- Assist Account Manager with coordinating uniformity of proposed pricing and evaluate and analyze submitted pricing assumptions.
- Develop implementation plans pertaining to project scope and company capabilities as well as transition plans on new and/or existing customers.
- Perform follow-up of proposal contents with sales and operational personnel to review new and/or existing customers to gain meaningful feedback.
- Develop and maintain an electronic database of relevant sales collateral to efficiently communicate and respond to a variety of requests.
Requirements
- BS or BA in Marketing, Communications or Related field
- 6-8 years of proposal development/management experience, ideally with a strong background in engineering or technical proposals.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills to keep complex, multi-stakeholder proposals on track.
- Extensive knowledge in understanding, structuring, and writing complex technical proposals.
- Strong proficiency and efficiency in using AI tools within the proposal process.
- Experience developing high-quality sales enablement materials, such as client presentations and case studies.
- Excellent eye for document design, graphics, and visual representation of data.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft and Google Suite.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Strong team player.
- Familiarity with standard editorial guidelines (Chicago Manual of Style preferred).
