About the Role

Review and analyze applications for entertainment tax credit programs. Assist with business-related tasks including data analysis and data integrity initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the flow of applications for various tax credit programs.
  • Review application materials for completeness and follow up for missing information.
  • Manage data using program databases and ensure project information accuracy.
  • Analyze data and summarize key data points for internal discussion.
  • Run queries from the Film database to respond to and verify internal data requests.
  • Reconcile program data using multiple sources.
  • Answer the Department’s main phone line, addressing program-related questions or directing applicants.
  • Schedule and hold meetings with production accountants, producers, and others.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher preferred in business, public administration, accounting, or another business-related field.
  • Five years of direct relevant experience can be substituted for education.
  • 2-3 years of administrative, customer service, and project management experience within a corporate office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Proficient in database management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Familiarity with business, not-for-profit, and governmental agencies.
  • General knowledge of New York State’s geography and economies.
  • Strong attention to detail and independent follow-through.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access and MS Dynamics.
  • Must submit a cover letter with resume to be considered.
