About the Role

Assembles, disassembles, repairs, and adjusts a variety of units, attachments, components, and accessories using blueprints, drawings, specifications, sketches, and verbal and written instructions. Reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly operations, sub-assembly operations, and work on attachments and/or accessories.
  • Operate material handling equipment including jibs, overhead cranes, and their accessories.
  • Use an assortment of measuring tools.
  • Consistently meet customer quality requirements and expectations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to assistant employees.
  • Participate in the training of welders and other employees of lesser classification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
  • Work may require use of scaffold, ladders, forklift, and/or scissor lift.
  • Work may require the use of a crane to move parts.
  • Maintain a clean work area with no clutter.
  • Practice safety at all times and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Speak up when others are non-compliant.
  • Wear all required safety equipment.
  • Keep an open mind to continuous improvement suggestions.
  • Bring continuous improvement suggestions to the appropriate team member.
  • Demonstrate initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the job.
  • Follow up with supervisor on professional development goals and opportunities.
  • Take an interest in and express a desire to grow with the company.

Requirements

  • Technical Trades School in Welding.
  • High school GED required.
  • 1+ years of Assembly experience.
  • Willing to work overtime as required.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
