About the Role

The Director of Psychology & Recovery Services at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital is responsible for clinical governance, program execution, and multidisciplinary coordination. Responsibilities

  • Accountable for clinical governance, program execution, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Sets hospital strategy and professional standards.
  • Leads selection, training, evaluation, and assignment of psychologists and senior recovery services clinicians.
  • Partners with psychiatry on multidisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance for clinical services.
  • Provides clinical consultation and assessment expertise.
  • Drives goals, outcomes, and quality aligned with Department of Mental Health Agency of Human Services practices.
  • Leads cross-agency coordination with Designated Agencies and hospital programs.
  • Contributes to program development, including specialized procedures and grant/research initiatives.
  • Participates in hospital committees.
  • Provides supervision of interns.

Requirements

  • Must pass a fingerprint supported background investigation.
  • Must agree to finger-printing and background check to be deemed eligible.
  • Must have licensure as a Psychologist-Doctorate in Vermont.
  • Must have five (5) or more years of professional experience in clinical psychology.
  • Must have one (1) or more years of experience involving treatment of emotionally disturbed clients.
