About the Role

Fairmont Austin, a luxury property with 1,048 guestrooms and over 140,000 square feet of event space, is seeking a passionate leader to join its innovative hotel team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing market, supporting career development within Accor's limitless possibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
  • Serve as a contributing member of the Hotel Executive Committee.
  • Demonstrate commitment to leadership, guest service excellence, and the Brand Promise.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to leaders and colleagues to exceed guest expectations and foster career development.
  • Lead by example.
  • Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of Valet, Front Office, Guest Experience, Fairmont Gold, and Housekeeping.
  • Establish and monitor effective goals and measurements for the Division using the Performance Management Program (PMP).
  • Engage in proactive recruitment, selection, training, mentoring, and development of leaders and colleagues to build a talent pipeline for the Rooms Division.
  • Ensure brand standards, Forbes Travel Guide, and service standards are implemented, maintained, audited, improved, and celebrated.
  • Review industry trends for new product and service opportunities.
  • Ensure guest and colleague concerns are resolved professionally and promptly, fostering a sense of ownership.
  • Act as a Customer Service Champion, leading Rooms Division departments to monitor and improve guest satisfaction results from Voice of the Guest and Social Media.
  • Actively participate and lead in Rooms and public area Capital & Renovation projects.
  • Participate in Health & Safety initiatives and colleague committees to enhance hotel culture.
  • Actively participate on the hotel Revenue Management Team to maximize hotel revenues.
  • Achieve maximization of revenues and effective cost control.
  • Utilize labor management tools (Watson) for optimal staffing.
  • Manage Crisis management and BCP plans for the Division and serve on the hotel crisis management team.
  • Develop annual and monthly Operational & Capital Budgets & Forecasts, including expenses, staffing, and productivity.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the Hotel Strategic Plan.
  • Ensure effective and timely interaction with all hotel departments and participate in hotel-wide meetings/committees.
  • Represent the division on the hotel environmental committee and implement environmental initiatives.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with business partners and the community.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate, coach, and develop your team.
  • Strong guest service orientation and training skills background.
  • Highly motivated, organized, goal and results-oriented individual who thrives under pressure.
  • Effective tracking and follow-up skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Front Office and Housekeeping operations, policies, procedures, and expense management.
  • Operational knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
