About the Role
Facilitates the intake process for clients of the Living Hope Treatment Center, carrying out all job responsibilities with fidelity and accountability to the Agency’s Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles and Strategic Plan.
Responsibilities
- Triages incoming phone calls.
- Greets clients, visitors and staff, determines the purpose of their visit and directs them accordingly.
- Conducts initial admission screenings for prospective clients via phone, email, or in person.
- Consults with clinical team members regarding referrals as needed.
- Reviews program intake packet with clients, explains program details and expectations, completes required documentation and administers applicable assessments.
- Schedules clients for admission into the program.
- Ensures complete and accurate client registration, including demographics, insurance information, and consent forms.
- Sends insurance information to pharmacy upon client admission.
- Assists with scanning and uploading information into client charts.
- Delivers and picks up mail from the administration building and distributes it.
- Provides superior customer service by modeling Sanctuary values.
- Communicates with the treatment team on referral status, client arrival, and documentation completion.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of all client-related materials and records.
- Responsible for accurate documentation regarding triage, screening, and intake.
- Assists the finance team with obtaining insurance authorizations for client admissions/continued stays.
- Assists the finance team with resolving billing and service documentation errors within the EMR.
- Assists with arranging and coordinating Medicaid transportation services.
- Provides assistance and support to the Clinical Director and leadership as needed.
- Demonstrates, promotes, and practices cultural competency toward clients and staff.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred.
- One to three years of experience working in the reception area of a medical or behavioral health facility.
- Computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to effectively navigate an electronic health record.
